The Florida / Orlando Disney Area

I have heard it said that there is a magic which casts its spell on you when you visit Florida, drawing you back time and time again, now we want to share this magic with you. Regarded as the land of endless summer, the 'Sunshine State', with its wonderful climate and sunsets, the steamy Everglades, beautiful white sandy beaches with clear blue waters, and of course the thrilling theme parks and fantastic retail shopping , there is something to fulfil the dreams of each and every visitor.

A short journey of 10 – 15 minutes from our home will take you to Orlando’s theme parks including Disney World and Discovery Cove, Universal Studios and the new Harry Potter ride, Sea World, and Wet and Wild. Old Lake Wilson Road is also close by giving you direct access to the ‘192’ and Kissimmee’s intriguing Old Town. Why not try an exciting day at Kennedy Space Centre? Beach lovers are spoilt for choice, and can make the most of the sunshine at Daytona, Cocoa, or Clearwater Beaches to name but a few.
For all those shopaholics amongst you The Florida Mall, The Mall at Millenia, Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets Stores, Festival Bay Mall, or Orlando Premium Outlets, provide the opportunity for even the most discerning shopper to find something to buy.

If nature inspires you then the vibrant colours, wonderful climate, and hot steamy atmosphere that only Florida can provide, will capture your heart. The unique flora and fauna, and magnificent exotic wildlife will fascinate you and fulfil your senses. There are many breathtaking State Parks to visit, for example, Honeymoon Island, Lake Louisa, or Blue Springs State Park where you can marvel at the Manatees in the spring.

How to get to Lake Thomas Villa

There are many international flight options, from the UK these include Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Thomson, Monarch, and Thomas Cook, as well as other international airlines including those from the USA. Orlando International (MCO) and Sanford Airports are the local Orlando airports.

There are a number of car hire companies conveniently on site at both Airports including Dollar, Alamo, and Hetz to name a few. A hire car is the most convenient, comfortable, and best value form of transport to use during your vacation in the Orlando area. We suggest you book your hire car in advance from home, as it pays to shop around in order to secure the best deal. Taxis and public transport are available but can be pricey and less convenient.

Full directions to the villa will be provided, with a journey of approximately 30 minutes from Orlando International (MCO), and 45 minutes from Sanford Airport, both via Interstate 4 to Champions Gate (Exit 58).

Champions Gate / Robbins Rest area

Champions Gate and Robbins Rest is a wonderful area for your Central Florida vacation, relaxed and peaceful but only a short drive from all the excitement Orlando has to offer.

Lake Thomas Villa is conveniently situated within 5 minutes drive of the I-4 Champions Gate Exit 58, which provides speedy access within 10 minutes to Orlando's theme parks, shopping experiences, evening entertainment, and golf courses.

Old Lake Wilson Road is also nearby, providing direct access to the 192, whilst Kennedy Space Centre, Busch Gardens, and the coast are about an hour's drive away.

Supermarkets, cash dispensers, gas stations, fast food outlets, restaurants (providing home delivery), and golf courses, are available at the Champions Gate Complex just 5 minutes drive from the villa.
